NASA engineers (er, pilots?) flew the tiny battery-powered chopper further than ever a couple of months back.
On landing, the aircraft was just out of sight, without a direct sight-line to the rover. That's when the team lost contact with the helicopter.
But today, after rover manoeuvres, they achieved a position so resume radio communication between craft and Perseverance mothership. And all is well.
More long-distance leap-frog hops are planned apparently.
It's good to see things are working well.
Amazing Mars mission.
