Received an alert from CalSky today. It's for comet C/2011 L4 Pan-STARRS. The alert is for Saturday, tomorrow.
It started off "Comets visible from your site..." I don't think so...
It went on to say that at hour 18.7 the comet would be visible 4° degrees above the WSW horizon. While the Sun would be 5° below... Yeah. A little challenging.
Magnitude: 2.0. A bit of good news there. This suggests when at perihelion it will be brighter than 2.
Still, there were some other interesting facts:
Distance to Sun: 0.30 AU
Distance to Earth: 1.11 AU
