We are witnessing a "perfect media storm" that has lead to what I believe to be unrealistic expectations for comet 2011 L4 (PANSTARRS) as seen from the mid-northern latitudes (and northward).

SkyTools users are uniquely prepared for success in observing this comet. The Nightly planner can tell you the best time to observe each evening and give you an idea of how difficult it will be to spot. Also, be sure to use the Nightly Optimal Viewing Ephemeris to make a list of the optimum time to observe each night.
Clear skies,
Greg
