corruption close to home

I've been following this matter for a while. Today, it culminated in the resignation of Julie Payette from the Governor General role.

I'm disappointed that Ms Payette abused her position and power. 

She was something of a hero to me.

Sad day.

Learned she also held the role of viceregal with RASC. But she's been relieved of that post too. Very close to home.
