From the deck we viewed the striped Sun vanishing into very low opaque clouds. Weird, still a full degree above the horizon.
Kristin spotted Venus. She leaned in and helped me find it. Thanks.
I spotted Arcturus while Elaine was looking for Saturn.
Horvatin and I fired up SkySafari. His showed Jupiter to the right of Venus; mine showed it left and up. Oops, mine was not set for the current date.
Finally saw Jupiter. Super faint.
