checked the little wedge

I had a look at the little wedge under the Steve's Star Adventurer mount. It might be a good alternative to a geared head, for under the barn door tracker.

I wondered about an interference issue with the large knob for holding the dovetail plate. It would not work, immediately, with my setup. A spacer or taller dovetail (if there's such a thing) would be needed. Steve suggested changing out the knob for a lever, like the altitude one. Not a bad idea. It's not obvious in the photo but that lever is on a ratchet for that very reason.

The big question is: can one be had locally?
