stuck with time changes

Saw a little news piece (YouTube, I think, yes, by CityNews) about the non-response by governments to break away from seasonal time changes. The push last year to stop time changes in Ontario, with this province switching to Daylight Saving Time permanently, was contingent on support and synchronisation by Québec and New York. The online article then showed the premier, Mr Ford, commenting on the matter. "But it's nice to have those long days," he said. Or something to that effect. Daft. It's does NOT mean longer days. The duration of the day—the amount of daylight—will remain unchanged, you goof! When our political leaders speak science, they screw it up. The simplest things!
