I knew my recording on Sunday night/Monday morning was without sound. In the daylight, I discovered that the audio connectors on the AV cable going into the camcorder were not attached to anything. Ah ha. So I connected them to the very weird junction cable, fired everything up, and gave it a whirl. It is OK now. So I'll be able to me audio notes with Denis's rig.Updated my Visio diagram to accommodate for this discrepancy.
