viewing in bright moonlight (Blue Mountains)

No one else was offering to help new member Justin with some viewing from the Geoff Brown Observatory so I invited him out. I let him open the roof. Borrowed Steve's keys to open the eyepiece cabinet.

Around 11:00 PM we viewed Mars. Ah. Now they come out... Justin and I were then joined by Katrina, Kiron, Phil, and Peter. With SkyTools, sorted out the ice cap vs. light regions.

We viewed Saturn. Very nice. We viewed Messier 3 and 13 in the bright moonlight. They looked better after I installed the dew shield. We viewed the Moon in big Oberwerk binoculars.

Love Katrina's photo.

We viewed Venus.

I was pretty tired. We all were. I went straight to bed.
