received August Journal notification

Member Services sent out the notification for the latest Journal of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. This is the August 2021 issue.

Great photo on the cover, with the eclipsed Sun beyond the CN Tower of downtown Toronto. This alludes to all the amazing imagery within.

Judy and Jay Anderson shared their experiences with the auroral curiosity STEVE. Mark Zalcik submitted a paper on noctilucent clouds. There's an update on the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope. Once again, we're joined by John Percy as he talks about the preservation of angular motion. Rosenfeld takes an unflinching look at human rights in astronomy (or lack thereof) in the past.

My Binary Universe column is about the mesmerising app Skywheel. It looks simple but it is deceptively rich.
