the Ring big (River Place Park)

Katrina grabbed me. She wanted me to have a look-see through the 36" by Normand Fullum. Tracking Dob, no less. We cued up. Then it was 6 feet up in the air, on the tall ladder. The Ring Nebula (Messier 57 or M57). The biggest I had ever seen it. Impressive in terms of size. Some structure. But I was expecting more, somehow. I wanted to see colour! I wondered if the soft sky was messing with it.
