While I worked on Stargrazer, Elaine sharpened knives in the kitchen, and Tony sharpened implements in the garage.
I had been thinking about the ride-on mower blades for some time. And they were blunt. Very. Rounded. Initially, I could not remove the 15/16th nut from the blade on driver's right despite reefing on my 3/4" breaker bar. Tim L and some online videos assured me the nuts were normally threaded. And required light torque (with a choked ratchet wrench) to install! It took a lot of force to break free the nut, leading me to suspect that installer used an impact gun set too high.
Once off, Sharmin and I used the 2A angle grinder to dramatically improve the blades. She did a better job than I. All her mirror grinding experience perhaps? Tony was impressed.
I reinstalled the blades, did cutting down the driveway, and tightened the blades. All good.
