Ian W, Tony, and I headed to the beach for some astronomy.
Ian and I helped Tony set up his Star Adventurer and capture some wonderful images of the Milky Way overhead (and reflected in the glass-like water). He got very good tracking in his 6 minute subs.
I helped Ian haul the 8" Dob to the shoreline. We enjoyed some lovely views. Then with Ian's binoculars, I spotted Messier 33 (M33). Big and round. Up and right of Metallah aka α (alpha) Tri. That was a first!
A great night, very good conditions, no Moon, no bugs.

The next night he got another great shot. Shared on his Facebook page.
