watching the AMS work

I've been keeping an eye on the spacewalk activities at the International Space Station as efforts are underway to repair the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS). The third tour outside the ISS was just completed. Things are going well with the repaired cooling system.

But there's still more work to do. NASA planners are trying to figure out when they can send astronauts out the airlock again. Not only to finish the AMS work but to complete the new battery install (after the BCDU problem).

It'll be good to get more data from the AMS. The jury is still out regarding conclusive evidence of dark matter and antimatter...
