Dietmar and I continue to discuss rerouting wires, data and power,
inside the Paramount ME. It is designed for it. And we're getting quite a
rat's nest of cables. One of the things I was curious about was the
"adaptability" of the Versa plate. My impression is that it is somewhat
universal and will support some modern connectors.
I asked that he take a
look at Ostap's newer MX. He reported that the new Paramount has a USB
and lost its parallel. Makes sense.
[ed: I initially titled this article "Versa plate updated" but the Versa plate is the adapter plate between the mount and telescope, at the top of the mount.]
