Learned that "Stellarium product" in the Apple app store is free for the iPhone and iTouch but scammers are charging 99¢ for the iPad version.This is not an officially sanctioned product of the Stellarium team.
It's also a crappy port of the open source...
More importantly, Stellarium, the official version, for Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX, is free. Free, GPL, no charge.
If you paid for it, you were had. Demand a refund.
Apple is investigating.
