Manuel and I tested controlling the CAO NexStar 11 GPS with his Celestron RS-232 data cable.
I wanted to test with SkyTools but realised I had never installed the ASCOM driver for Celestron NexStar telescopes onto the netbook. Shoot. Tried it with Stellarium (via my USB-serial adapter). It worked fine!
All right. The N11 can be computer driven. Another milestone.
Asked if I could use the cable for the balance of the weekend. Please and thank you!
We chatted about the temperature. It was so warm! The predicted dew point was about 4 degrees. But the predicted low was no where near that, around 10 or 11. According to Manuel. Good!
