talked about Mew Lake

Manuel phoned. Following up on my email about the Annual Algonquin Adventure. He wanted to go to Mew Lake.

He asked many questions. How to book, if he should contact Lillian and Bob; no, he'd need to contact Ontario Parks. Kinds of sites; I told him about the types of sites, that people tented, towed trailers, drove motor homes, everything. Told him the number of shelters allowed, about the yurts and the included amenities. Told him that members often shared sites, that I had for a number of years stay with Lora and Phil. Asked about showers; I teased him there were no showers.

He said he didn't have any camping gear and talked about getting stuff. He also wondered if Mr Soler might want to go. I suggested they consider a yurt. It might be easier. And then they could share the other two bunks, if they wanted to. Manuel said he'd chat with him soon.

Pointed out the article had just gone up on the web site. He said he'd check it. April 5 was the "magic date."

We chatted about observing. Told him I was already set up. He was still at the office.
