Don't recall where I learned about it but I procured the premiere issue of
Starlog for $1.50.

The focus of Volume 1, Number 1 was Star Trek but they also discussed the Bionic Woman, The Man Who Fell To Earth (with David Bowie), and Space: 1999. Included was a piece by Isaac Asimov.
I thought the cover artwork by Jack Thurston was rather good.
I was in heaven. My interest in science fiction was growing. But it was a quarterly, at launch, so I had to wait a while for the next issue.
